OFC & Fiber Optic Networking

Fiber networks,spliced and tested right.

Optical fiber (OFC) networks built and maintained by specialists — precision splicing, loss-budget calculation, OTDR testing and full fault repair.

Home/Services/OFC Networking

Overview

Optical fiber done to spec — and proven with test results.

Fiber carries far more data over far greater distances than copper, but it's unforgiving: a bad splice, a tight bend or an over-budget link causes intermittent faults that are miserable to chase later.

We design, lay, splice, terminate and test OFC networks properly — with loss-budget calculations up front and OTDR/power-meter results on handover, so you know the link performs.

Problems we solve

Where this helps.

Capabilities

What's included.

Fiber optic splicing

Precision fusion splicing for low-loss, reliable joints.

Loss budget calculation

Up-front link-loss planning so the design will actually work.

OTDR & power testing

Measured proof of splice loss, reflectance and end-to-end performance.

OFC laying & termination

Cable pulling, ducting, patch panels and connector termination.

Fault detection & repair

OTDR fault location and fast, tested repairs of broken links.

FTTH / FTTX networks

Fiber-to-the-home/premises builds and splicing at scale.

01

Design & budget

Plan the route and calculate the loss budget for each link.

02

Lay & splice

Pull cable and fusion-splice joints to low-loss targets.

03

Terminate & test

Terminate, then verify with OTDR and power-meter readings.

04

Document & maintain

Hand over test records and provide fault repair support.

Typical use cases

  • An ISP or operator needing splicing and OTDR-tested links.
  • A campus or plant connecting buildings over fiber.
  • A network with an intermittent fault to locate and repair.
  • An FTTH/FTTX rollout needing reliable field splicing.

Quality & security

Measured, documented, within budget.

We don't sign off a link on looks. Every splice and link is tested with an OTDR and power meter against its calculated loss budget, and you receive the results on handover — so faults are caught at build time, not months later in production.

Service area

Powertronics is based in Roorkee, Uttarakhand and delivers this service to businesses across Roorkee, Haridwar, Dehradun and the wider Uttarakhand region, with remote delivery and support available across India.

FAQs

Common questions.

What is a fiber optic loss budget?

A loss budget is the total optical loss a link can tolerate — from cable length, splices and connectors — while still working reliably. We calculate it during design and verify the built link stays within it using OTDR and power-meter testing.

Do you provide OTDR test reports?

Yes. We test every splice and link with an OTDR and power meter and hand over the measured results, so you have documented proof the fiber performs to spec.

Can you locate and repair a fiber fault?

Yes. We use OTDR fault location to pinpoint breaks or high-loss points, then splice and re-test the repair to confirm the link is restored.

Do you handle FTTH / FTTX splicing?

Yes. We provide field splicing and termination for fiber-to-the-home and fiber-to-the-premises rollouts, tested to loss-budget targets.
